New MLROs

NEW MLROs

Welcome to the Hot Seat! The post of MLRO is probably the riskiest in any regulated organisation (See: Sindicatum Holdings Case where the MLRO, the unfortunate Mr Wheelhouse, was fined £17,000 personally for his firm’s failings. The firm was fined a further £49,000)

As a starting point you might find it useful to read  “Welcome to the Hot Seat”. This is the introductory topic from our AML Package and gives some pointers on the scope of your duties as MLRO.

If you are planning to review your existing AML policy and procedures you should consider investing in our AML Package which contains a lot of useful material and ideas. You might also want to subscribe to our Free AML Law email updates service and invest in some credits for our AML Helpline.

"My reliance for compliance!....  When called upon in time of need, the support has been second to none! While the system cannot restore my hair it has slowed the rate of loss... a great saving in permanent overheads... and a great relief when certificates are due!"
